A BOY NAMED KIM! No, it’s not a Johnny Cash song but it does start my life story off with a unique twist. My first name is actually Kimberly but I have always gone by Kim. At 6”4” I make a fairly imposing Kim!
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, the main aspect of my early life revolved around competitive swimming. My two sisters swam and my mother was the carpool queen driving us to and from swimming workouts as well as the obligatory weekend swimming meets. To say that we were a swimming family is an understatement.
My success in swimming lasted almost two decades. Accomplishments include high school USA All-American, 4 year NCAA All-American at Southern Methodist University (S.M.U.), Arizona state record holder, Southwest Conference/NCAA record holder, national champion in the 200 butterfly and Olympic Trial qualifier in 1980.
I am most proud of my leadership attributes. I was captain of my high school swimming team as well as my college swimming team. At my pinnacle, I was also captain of the 1979 USA National Swimming team. These were all voted on by the swimmers on these respective teams and I am most proud of these accolades.
I chose to enter the real estate world as soon as I graduated from SMU. I moved to Hilton Head Island in 1982 and I have been assisting families with buying and selling property for the last 35+ years. After over 1500 closed sales I feel uniquely qualified to help you with your real estate needs.
I know every nook and cranny of this wonderful island and I hope you will allow me to assist you with your property.
